Style

I can’t believe I will be 35 in a week, eeek! I truly still feel (and act) 25, ha! This year my birthday has totally crept up on me. I have no big pans but we do have friends coming to town to celebrate and I can’t wait for a fun-filled weekend with them! Aside from celebrating with loved ones, I put together a wish list every year of items I’ve been wanting in hopes they appear in a big box with a bow (its called a wishlist for a reason lol). This year I thought it would be fun to share my wishlist for my upcoming birthday. Let’s begin!

CURLING IRON:

I feel like the second I got down how to blow dry my hair straight everyone started curling their hair instead. I have yet to master the curling iron but I have heard amazing things about the T3 curling wand and I love that you can change the size of the barrel depending on what kind of curl you want. For a hair iron it’s pretty pricey but I know I will get so much use out of it, maybe this year  I will treat myself.

SPRING WEDGES:

I love wedges and usually add several to my collection every spring. When I saw these I fell in love! They are so feminine and the perfect neutral color to wear with everything!

MONOGRAM NECKLACE:

I’m sure you’ve seen this necklace on every blogger out there! I have wanted this for quite some time and yet I’ve never pulled the trigger. Now that I live in the south where monogramming is a way life I want it even more. It’s truly the perfect everyday necklace!

STRAW TOTE:

I’m so happy the straw tote trend is here to stay. I love them so much and have several in my collection already. This one is really roomy and great for beach trips, running errands, or grabbing brunch. I will get so much use out of this one all the way through Summer.

CUTE MUG:

I’m not a huge coffee drinker but I do have the occasional cup of jo when the mood strikes. This cute mug may make me drink more coffee or at least make for a cute Instagram pic.

EBERJEY PJ’S:

I’ve talked about this before on the blog, when I got married I made it a point to purge all my old dingy pajamas and invest in cute ones that would make me feel nice even while sleeping. I discovered this brand and now I’m totally hooked. They are the softest most comfortable pj’s ever and they come in so many cute styles I want them all.

TRAVEL JEWELRY CASE:

As organized as I am when I travel, the one department I could use some help in is jewelry. My necklaces always arrive a tangled mess and my earrings lose their partner. I love how compact this case is, so easy to just throw in your purse while running to the airport. I really need this adorable jewelry travel case in my life.

HEART SHAPE SUNGLASSES:

While I don’t need another pair of sunglasses when I saw these heart shaped ones I knew I needed to make room in my collection. They are so fun and feminine while still chic. Love!

Wishing you a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello,

I’m back home after a whirlwind weekend in Miami. We had a great time but I am always happy to be back at our cozy place with our puppy. It’s not completely warm in Greenville yet and I am still very much rotating sweaters. This hot pink sweater screams Spring while still keeping me warm. These jeans are must-haves, I highly recommend them as your basic black denim. I wore my snake print boots for a pop of funky. Sadly, these are sold out but I linked similar ones that would give you the same look above. I’m not one for trends but I saw the Fiddler Hat trend on soo many runways this year that I had to try it. I don’t like to make a huge investment on trendy items so I went with this one from Forever 21 at a great price point.

On a different note, I received some amazing news today and I can’t wait to share it with all of you! So many exciting things are happening and I am so thankful for this little online community I’m building and especially for all you who have followed along since the beginning.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Lovers!

Since our new puppy was my early Valentine’s Day gift I thought today would be a perfect day for her blog debut! Meet Sybil Pearl Rosen, named after my favorite character from Downton Abbey. She is an Australian Labradoodle and in my eyes absolutely perfect! To celebrate, Jason and I are going downtown to a nice dinner tonight. I can’t believe this is our 10th Valentine’s together, it so crazy how time flys. When Jason told me we were going out I knew I wanted a special dress to wear. This dress was made to be worn on Valentine’s Day! The second I spotted it I knew it had to be mine. I love the two-tone pink and red and the ruffle detail is so cute and girly. It runs a little on the small side so if you’re at all body conscious size up. I paired it with my silver strappy sandals (they were my wedding shoes!) and simple pearl earrings, letting the dress do all the talking. If this dress could talk I think it would say “Kiss me!” (so cheesy I know) . I’m sharing 10 looks below all inspired by mine. They are all perfect for date night, a wedding, or even a night out with your girlfriends.

Hope everyone has an amazing day with their loves! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Tuesday Friends!

It’s been a busy week for me between getting ready for our trip to Miami and potty training our new puppy. Stay tuned for pictures of her tomorrow! Until then, let’s talk about today’s look. I love combining feminine pieces like this top with more casual and/or edgier pieces. This jacket is such a staple and can be easily thrown over a feminine dress with wedges to add texture to the look. I kept the rest of the outfit simple with dark denim and riding boots. Sadly my exact boots are sold out but I actually love this year’s version and they are currently on sale! My jeans are on the pricier side but so worth it. If you are looking to spend a less these are a great option and almost identical. I always recommend Kut from the Kloth for denim under $100. They’re at a really great price point without sacrificing any style, and let’s be honest, style is what really what matters after all!

Hope everyone has special plans for tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Friday! So happy the weekend is here! Today I’m sharing this easy and über comfortable look. This top is so gorgeous! The fabric has a metallic detail that makes it feel really dressy without being uncomfortable. You can easily tuck this top into a pencil skirt with pumps to make it more work appropriate. Free People tends to run big so I recommend sizing down, for reference I’m wearing an XS.

Ok now on to the leggings, so if I am being completely honest I ordered these because I saw them on soo many other bloggers. Everyone seems to love them so I decided to give them a try. In person, they have a shimmery coat to them that once on is not so flattering. I’m still unsure about keeping these because I think for the price they could be better. I just ordered these Yummie ones to compare and then decide which I like best. I will report back on what I think when I receive them!

Wishing all of you a very happy weekend!
