Hello Friends!

I’m so excited to share my first-trimester Bumpdate with all of you. Time is flying by and I can’t believe that the first trimester has come and gone so quickly.  I’m answering the most frequently asked questions I’ve gotten so far.

How did you feel the first trimester?

Amazing! I was so lucky and never felt nausea or got sick once. I felt so great that I actually got worried something was wrong because I just felt too good. I heard horror stories from girlfriends about the first trimester so I kept bracing myself to wake up one day and just be miserable but it never came. I would forget I was pregnant because I truly had no symptoms. Sooo lucky! The one thing I definitely felt was exhausted. I took some of the best naps of my life during my first trimester, ha!

When is your due date?

The official due date is October 24th.

Have you had any cravings?

Cold fruit, especially watermelon. I’ve been eating sooo much of it! Pretty much anything cold, like salads and sandwiches. I can’t get enough!

Have you had any food aversions?

I’ve been pretty lucky and have had no aversions to anything. Besides just wanting everything cold, I have been eating normally.

Have you gained any weight?

6 pounds so far. I’ve already told myself I am not going to stress this part and I am just letting my body do what it needs to do to grow a healthy baby.

What is your work out routine?

I’ve tried with all my might to do at least 3 days a week. If I’m being honest it has been such a struggle for me to muster the energy. When I do get off my butt I do a mix of Zumba, Jazzercise, lights weights, or just go for walks with Jace around the neighborhood.

Have you purchased any maternity clothes?

Not yet, still fitting into my regular jeans. Not expecting for that to last much longer though.

Will you be finding out the gender?

As crazy as it seems to most people we are not finding out the baby’s gender. Jace and I decided when we first started dating that if we ever had children together we would not find out the gender and so we are sticking to our word. I promise it’s not as hard as everyone thinks it is to wait. We are sooo excited for this baby that no matter boy or girl we’ll be so happy!

What Baby books are you reading?

I ordered the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy and am reading Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy and love it so far. I also downloaded the What to Expect app and love seeing what fruit the baby is the size of each week.

Do you have any Travel Plans?

We did lots of trips back and forth to Miami for doctors appointments (Since the plan is to have the baby in Miami) and the most exciting trip, Israel! We were in Israel at the 13-week mark and had the most amazing time! Because I’ve had an easy first trimester the long flight from Miami to Tel Aviv wasn’t bad at all. I definitely indulged in all the Mediterranean food my heart desired, it was all so amazing!

Have you started the nursery?

No, we have not, more updates on this coming soon with a very exciting announcement!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
